Are tennis balls too large for beginners? : juggling

Tennis balls are not very nice to juggle with, too light, too bouncy (yet not bouncy enough for bounce-juggling). We used to make a single cut in them with a sharp knife and then force in some grain (wheat, barley, aduki beans or whatever) until they were about half full which massively improves them for juggling. You don't even have to seal the cut!
